Robert Greene

Robert Greene, an American author of works on strategy, power, and seduction, was born on May 14, 1959. He is the author of six international best-sellers, including The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, Mastery, and The Art of Seduction.
Greene was raised in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, Berkeley before graduating with a B.A. in classical studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Greene claims that he did 80 jobs before becoming a novelist, including construction worker, translator, magazine editor, and Hollywood movie writer.
Greene met Joost Elffers, a book packager, while working as a writer at Fabrica, an art and media school in Italy, in 1995. Greene approached Elffers about writing a book about power and prepared a treatment that became The 48 Laws of Power. This would become a watershed moment in his life for him.
